Prayer for Ethiopia
WHY PRAY?
Prayer is of utmost importance. It provides us with an opportunity to communicate with God on behalf of the needs of our fellow Ethiopian sisters who have been rescued from the chains of prostitution. Through our prayers, He makes it possible for His divine blessings to abundantly rain down in dry and weary places.
EFFECTS OF PRAYER
God has graciously armed us with the spiritual weapon of united prayer in our arsenal. When we pray in unity using the Word of God as our foundation, we obtain His grace to help meet necessities in both tangible and intangible ways. As joint heirs with Christ, His power is entrusted to us, and apart from Him we can do nothing. Let us use that power to place petitions before His throne.
CHRIST’S LOVE
Our prayer ministry, fueled by Christ’s love and aligned with the Lord’s purpose, produces change, provides encouragement, and promotes healing- spiritual healing, physical healing, and trauma healing. May the Holy Spirit produce fruit, and may God’s will be done in the current prayer requests below.
PARTNER WITH US IN PRAYER
- Pray for donations to be given from new churches both in the United States and abroad. (“Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.” -1 Timothy 6:18)
- Pray for more women to give their lives to Jesus in Tigray. (“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.” -Titus 2:11)
- Pray for continued expansion of the ministry through Tirhas in Addis. (“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'”-Mark 16:15. “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” -Psalm 37:4)
- Pray for the Lord to open the women’s eyes and lead them in beginning business endeavors. (“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” -Psalm 37:23)
- Pray for all who are connected to Renewed Life to maintain good health. (“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” -3John 1:2)
- Pray for continued strength to be given to Pastor Rick. (“It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.” -Psalm 18:32. “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” -Isaiah 40:31)
- Pray for Tesfaldet and his wife to conceive a child. (“He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the Lord!” -Psalm 113:9. ““Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” -Psalm 127:3. “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4)
