WHY PRAY?
Prayer is of utmost importance. It provides us with an opportunity to communicate with God on behalf of the needs of our fellow Ethiopian sisters who have been rescued from the chains of prostitution. Through our prayers, He makes it possible for His divine blessings to abundantly rain down in dry and weary places.
EFFECTS OF PRAYER
God has graciously armed us with the spiritual weapon of united prayer in our arsenal. When we pray in unity using the Word of God as our foundation, we obtain His grace to help meet necessities in both tangible and intangible ways. As joint heirs with Christ, His power is entrusted to us, and apart from Him we can do nothing. Let us use that power to place petitions before His throne.
CHRIST’S LOVE
Our prayer ministry, fueled by Christ’s love and aligned with the Lord’s purpose, produces change, provides encouragement, and promotes healing- spiritual healing, physical healing, and trauma healing. May the Holy Spirit produce fruit, and may God’s will be done in the current prayer requests below.
PARTNER WITH US IN PRAYER
1. Pray for the Lord to produce fruit through missionaries traveling to Ethiopia. (“This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” -John 15:8)
2. Pray for God’s timing in new churches joining the program. (“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” -Eccl. 3:1)
3. Pray for wisdom in collaborative work of American and Ethiopian boards. (“For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.” -1 Cor. 3:9)
4. Pray for generous ministry funding of the program. (“Good will come to those who are generous…” -Psalm 112:5)
5. Pray for restored health of all of leaders and their family members. (“’But I will restore you to health, and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord…” -Jer. 30:17)

EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE
One way we can express gratitude together is to praise God “from whom all blessings flow” as so beautifully written in the Doxology, a short hymn:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him all creatures here below;
Praise Him above ye heav’nly hosts;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen.
