WHY PRAY?
Prayer is of utmost importance. It provides us with an opportunity to communicate with God on behalf of the needs of our fellow Ethiopian sisters who have been rescued from the chains of prostitution. Through our prayers, He makes it possible for His divine blessings to abundantly rain down in dry and weary places.
EFFECTS OF PRAYER
God has graciously armed us with the spiritual weapon of united prayer in our arsenal. When we pray in unity using the Word of God as our foundation, we obtain His grace to help meet necessities in both tangible and intangible ways. As joint heirs with Christ, His power is entrusted to us, and apart from Him we can do nothing. Let us use that power to place petitions before His throne.
CHRIST’S LOVE
Our prayer ministry, fueled by Christ’s love and aligned with the Lord’s purpose, produces change, provides encouragement, and promotes healing- spiritual healing, physical healing, and trauma healing. May the Holy Spirit produce fruit, and may God’s will be done in the current prayer requests below.
PARTNER WITH US IN PRAYER
1. Pray for board members’ safe travels to Ethiopia. (“The Lord will keep you from all harm— He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” -Psalm 127:7-8)
2. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance in all meetings with the churches in Ethiopia. (“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.” -John 16:13)
3. Pray for God’s continued direction for the Renewed Life Program. (“I will instruct you, and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” -Psalm 32:8)
4. Pray for the women and children to be filled with the Lord’s peace amid the political tension in Ethiopia. (“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:7)

EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE
One way we can express gratitude together is to praise God “from whom all blessings flow” as so beautifully written in the Doxology, a short hymn:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him all creatures here below;
Praise Him above ye heav’nly hosts;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen.
